Iwa

By Linteloo

‘IWA’ is Japanese for ‘stone’ and designer Roderick Vos always thinks of Fred Flintstone when he sees his ‘IWA’ coffee table, with Barney Rubble sitting at the ‘IWA’ dining table. These tables share a certain vernacular, but each with their own signature. The coffee table is a miracle of innovative use of materials, with humble plywood stacked and milled in waves, creating an exciting flame-like pattern. The dining table is how a child would draw a table – simple and pure. But the two bases can be placed in different positions and can even be turned upside down.
