Basket

By Kettal

Kettal edits the Basket chair, created in the 1950s by Danish designers Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel.  The Basket chair, made from oak, comes in its original version created by the Ditzel, hand-braided in wicker, and in an outdoor version, made from artificial fibre and teak.  The cushion fabrics, also designed by Nanna Ditzel, the ‘queen of Danish design’, are pure new wool and come in 4 colour combinations and 8 Hallingdal fabrics by Kvadrat.

The Basket chair won awards in 1950 at the Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition and in 1951 at the Milan Triennale.
