HYUNMEE LEE

A minimalist painter, with her MFA from The University of Sydney, Hyunmee Lee came to Utah in the 1990's. She has continued to work within her own vision, to exemplify the modern world with minimal gestures of abstraction. Her work brings an ethereal, graceful silence to any space.
DARA MARK

A New Mexico modernist whose work in watercolor on Yupo paper, a type of hand-made mylar, is astoundingly purposeful and timely. In her current work, she captures a stop action moment of light and water moving in a circularly patterned 'grid'. In some pieces the motion is fast and clear, in some the light and color are more delicate than others; and some works are ruddy and full of summer heat.
DIANE McGREGOR

McGregor's primary focus is upon the virtual surface of the canvas and she expresses the layering of paint as a meditation on life choices and seeking a more idealistic existence. Her most recent work demonstrates a broader use of whites and looser or more abstracted forms that are woven into the surface.
RINA MENARDI

Since 1980, Rina Menardi has been developing her research into the field of ceramics, personalizing work techniques, exploring color schemes, striving for neatness of shape. Through this work, she has been creating her first collection of living accessories, all hand-made stoneware pieces, always characterized by simple lines, inspired by nature, removed from the style of so many mass-produced items, and never limited to a single purpose, believing, as she does, that an object should not impose itself, but rather suggest visual and tactile sensations able to evoke our deepest emotions.
THEL

A Texas architect, Thel took her pen name in 1990 and began painting small watercolor pieces that we sold in our first store on Mockingbird Lane. Today she works in oil on canvas, oil on Bristol board, and last year produced a five piece series of plaster tree sculptures on metal bases.
